This class will be learning how to make a granny square. We will be mainly focusing on how to start, how maintain the same amount of stitches throughout the project, and how to finish/tie in the loose ends of your project.
All supplies will be provided and the class will be able to take home their project, supplies and leftover yarn. Granny squares are a great intro because they have the potential to be turned into blankets, scarves, cardigans and so much more! I'm hoping this will be the first of many classes. Regulars will be able to help me choose what the next class should be.

About Instructor Kayla:
Yarntender Shop: https://yarntender.com/
I originally started out crocheting as a child because I was obsessed with yarn. I used to buy a ball of yarn and crochet one long string with my fingers because that was all I knew how to do and I loved watching the yarn transform into beautiful colorful braids. Originally I was only able to make jump ropes so when I first started learning how to make actual things with a real hook I remember there were times when I'd throw the workbook across the room out of frustration! Books make it look so easy! Once I'd calm down, I'd pick up the book again and start over. Eventually I learned the basics and learned how to make granny squares and blankets. I learned on my own and it took me many years to master.
Now I'm at a point where I have gained the knowledge and skills to create anything I can think of without a pattern and am eager to show others how to do this as well. Fiber Art is really fun because you can create just about anything! You can make pictures, rugs, clothing, accessories, toys or pretty much whatever you can think of! If any of this sounds interesting to you I highly recommend taking one of my classes and giving it a try.
